The district of Lomas de Zamora, is by its population, area and by its economical, sport and cultural activity, one of the main districts of the province of Buenos Aires. Located south of the city of Buenos Aires, covering an 89 km2 area, it has a population of over 800.000 inhabitants, wich makes it the second most populated district of the province of Buenos Aires. It is formed by seven towns: Banfield, Temperley, Llavallol, Turdera, Villa Centenario, Fiorito and Lomas de Zamora, the latter, head of the district. The district, has celebrated its 150th anniversary, on september 2012. Lomas de Zamora is developing fast through real state, commercial, industrial and gastronomic ventures. The city Council, led by Mayor Martin Insaurralde, gives support and stimulates this growth through the development of infrastructure and diverse agreements to boost investiments.
